Larissa Barrios

Work Experience

  • REY GROUP (owner of the supermarkets REY, ROMERO and MR PRECIO), Categories Management Assistant, Marketing Department; Internship in the Marketing Department

Interests

  • Cold Chain: The lack of a cold chain from production to consumption locations and the lack of standardized processes have caused the low quality and reduced shelf life of the local production. Investments in storage, transportation, training, and quality standards will be needed in order to develop our full potential as producer of fresh products.
  • Supply Chains for Consumer Goods: Panama has been positioned as a consolidation point for several multinational companies that sell consumer goods. These type of product need supply chains designed to minimize their logistics costs in order to get to the market at a competitive price.
  • Network Design: New facilities need to be located in the right place in order to comply with the objective of the company's supply chain. Decisions about location, capacity, role, and market allocation will determine the future success or failure of a new facility.
