At Georgia Tech Panama, we promote the best sustainability practices, including waste management, resource savings (water and energy) and volunteering among our employees.
We directly support the National Logistics Strategy 2030 related to Sustainable Logistics, focused on promoting practices that respect the environment and mitigate the effects of climate change that help reduce the carbon footprint and carbon emissions. CO2 in the value chain of the different products that pass through the country.
We are part of the Sustainability Committee of two local business associations and we have an internal Sustainability Committee, with which staff are encouraged to participate in volunteer activities with environmental and social scope and work in general to meet the Sustainable Development Goals that point to innovation, sustainable cities, responsible consumption and strategic alliances.

At Georgia Tech Panama, we promote a comprehensive approach to sustainability aligned with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria. Our Sustainability Policy is based on respect for the environment, the promotion of social welfare, and ethical, transparent, and responsible institutional management.
As part of this commitment, we promote various initiatives aimed at continuous improvement in these three areas.

As part of this global network—which brings together more than 17,000 companies and 3,000 non-business organizations in more than 160 countries—we also take responsibility for reporting annually on our progress and actively contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Sustainability Committee


In January 2022, the Center's Sustainability Committee was officially established. This committee has the active participation of five staff members and the Director, whose main objective is the formulation of initiatives related to volunteering, environmental management and the dissemination of relevant information on energy savings, carbon footprint, health, climate change. , among others through weekly newsletters. This approach seeks not only to promote environmental and social awareness within the Center, but also to foster a culture of commitment and shared responsibility among all team members, as well as interns.
